Welcome to Hunter Bagpiper.
I am a sole trading bagpiper, servicing the Newcastle,
Hunter and surrounding areas. I am an experienced piper, having
played for weddings, funerals, concerts and recording sessions.
I have performed with Andre Reiu in Sydney, various ceremonial occasions
for the NSW Police Force as well as with the NSW Police Pipe Band in the
musical rides and finale performances in the 2010 Edinburgh Military
Tattoo in Sydney.
I offer a professional service at a reasonable rate, which
is variable based on your requirements, time and location.
I have included in the website a number of midi files
located on the repertoire page to
help you decide upon tunes, however this is by no means exhaustive and I am more than happy to discuss your requirements and am
willing and able to be flexible to ensure that I add that
little something special to your event.
I am also offering tuition as part of my service for those
who wish to learn to play the great highland bagpipe. I am able to
teach almost anybody, aged 8 and up, the proper skills and technique
involved in the safety of your own home, or in a group environment as well
as being able to assist with sourcing practice chanters and educational
material.
